Things I love about the Fed Ex Cup...

On the last tournament of the year, they players start times on Thursday go from 30 to 1, so Tiger and Stricker are in the last group. Phil taking a week off last week robbed us of a Tiger Phil twosome potentially all week long, so Phil just shows what kind of a jerk he is once again.

I have cared about golf in between the PGA Championship and the Ryder/President's Cup. No matter what kind of a joke some of the Fed Ex Cup stuff has been, it has been successful in my eyes.

Phil and Tiger both played in a final round. Both played well. Phil won. Hello Augusta, 2008. Should be one hell of a show.

Tiger or Phil will likely win this whole thing while skipping one of the four events. This is GOOD for golf.

Sergio Garcia hasn't sniffed any type of success during the playoffs. This is GOOD for all of us who hate him.

Of course, being an accountant and a numbers guy, there is one thing I don't like. The scoring system is plain stupid. It works, apparently, but it is stupid. Everyone starts with a derivative of the leader's 100,000 points? What? It just makes no logical sense. Anyway...that's life.

By the way, how much sniping about Tiger is going to go on in the Mickelson/Sabbatini group over the next two days?

They are both going to say something like...

R: "Remember that time that Tiger kicked our ass in the British?"

P: "Yeah, what a jerk that guy is. Hey Rory can you excuse me? I have to pretend that I actually care about the fans and my family."

R: "Go ahead Phil. It's amazing how you pulled the wool over everyones eyes on that. You are the worst person out here."

Both: Laugh hysterically.
