What a stupid...
After staying up and talking to me on the phone for six innings of the San Diego/Colorado baseball game last night, Brad decides after Scott Hairston hits his two-run bomb (and by bomb I mean barely cleared the left field wall) that the game is over and he should go to bed.
David, on the other hand, says - wait, this is Colorado attempting to complete a dream season. There is no way I'm not watching the rest of this game.
Three extra base hits and a bloodied Matt Holiday chin later and Colorado completes one of the most historic runs in baseball to complete a season and sneak into the playoffs.
And Brad manages to pull off a Robert de Vicente.
But, at least he can say I told you so.
And, literally....Ramon Ortiz wins this game? Are you joking me?
Literally, one Arizona loss and one Mets win away from five 89-73 teams in the NL. In true Bud Selig fashion, I'm pretty sure his solution to the problem of who should make the playoffs out of that mess would have been to declare the situation too difficult to resolve and instead just award the National League pennant to the Cubs.

I admit it, freely, and without reservation; just as I said so on the phone message I left you this AM. I should NEVER have doubted. In fact, I feel bad picking Arizona over Colorado in the NLCS. But, given the fact that Arizona got outscored by what, 200 runs this year, and still won the division, I have to assume karma is on their side. Until A Rod gets ahold of them.
All I can say is, what a great start to what will hopefully be a great postseason.

I actually stayed up and watched this game and I don't even like baseball as much as you two.
