From a Baseball Analysts article:

"Looking ahead to 2008, the top American League teams - the Red Sox, Tigers, Angels, Indians and Yankees - are also the five best squads in the majors. If all goes as is widely expected, one of these teams won't qualify for the postseason despite their elite status."

Really? If all goes as widely expected? What, are we holding off on the hope that a major realignment takes place this offseason sending the Red Sox to the National League? How about "ONE OF THESE TEAMS WON'T MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. PERIOD. NO MORE TO SAY. POSSIBLY TWO IF AN ASTEROID STRIKES IN THE UPPER NORTHEAST IN JUNE, BUT DEFINITELY ONE WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS."

I'm cranky today.
